MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region was the source of a few limb occulted C-class events. The largest was a C8.9 at 01/17/16:08 UT. The target region is still beyond the southeastern limb in the location of old NOAA regions 1936 and 1940. C-class events expected with an M-class event likely and an event =/>M5 possible in the next 24 hour period.

The approximate position of the target on January 17 at 14:00 UT is: S23E89 (Solar X = -898", Solar Y = -379")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
