Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch" -
Date: Fri, 7 Feb 2014 21:03:15 +0000

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The level of solar activity is moderate. NOAA region 11967 has maintained spot area over the past 24 hours while decreasing in number of spots, most notably in its intermediate portion. This region is still classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group and produced 2 M-class flares since the last message, including the largest flare event in the past 24 hours (an M2.0 flare on 7-Feb-2014 at 04:47 UT). Although NOAA 11967 appears to be simplifying through its decay, the MM#003 Major Flare Watch continues for a further 24 hours as NOAA 11967 has retained the capacity to produce another flare above the M5 level.

The position of NOAA 11967 on 7-Feb-2014 at 21:00 UT is:

S13W63, ( 843", -169" )
