Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Wed, 20 Jan 2016 17:01:49 +0000 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA region 12486 has remained stable over the previous 24 hours and the spotted region to its North has been designated as NOAA 12487. This region has a beta/C-type sunspot group classification and was the source of the joint-largest flare since the last message (a C1.3 on 20-Jan-2016 at 14:25 UT, with NOAA 12484 being the source of a C1.3 on 20-Jan-2016 at 07:30 UT). More C-class activity is probable over the next 24 hours as 12487 continues to show signs of flux emergence and spot growth. The position of NOAA 12487 on 20-Jan-2016 at 17:00 UT is: S13E40, ( -608", -155" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
