Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. NOAA region 12487 has continued to grow in spot area and number of spots over the past 24 hours and has been classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region has flared the most since the last message, producing two C-class events that included the largest magnitude flare (a C2.9 on 21-Jan-2016 at 01:17 UT). Further C-class activity is expected over the following 24 hours as NOAA 12487 continues to show signs of flux emergence.
The position of NOAA 12487 on 21-Jan-2016 at 17:00 UT is:
S13E27, ( -427", -143" )
