Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Mon, 18 Apr 2016 17:05:24 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The level solar activity moderate. NOAA 12529 initially underwent some growth before continuing to decay over the past 24 hours. This region is still classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group, although it now appears to have lost its mixed polarity gamma configuration. NOAA 12529 produced the largest event since the last message, a M6.7 flare on 18-Apr-2016 at 00:14 UT. At this point we are NOT implementing a Major Flare Watch because NOAA 12529 appears to have simplified in its magnetic classification after producing the M6.7 flare. C-class flares are expected over the following 24 hours, with a slight chance for a low M-class event. The position of NOAA 12529 on 18-Apr-2016 at 16:00 UT is: N10W61, ( 823", 208" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
