Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Thu, 12 May 2016 13:29:30 -0600 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity has been very low with GOES soft X-ray flux below the C-level. Target region NOAA 12542 was the source of a few minor B-class events. 12542 has lost some of its magnetic complexity, and is now classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. It continues to show mixed polarities at the edge of the main negative spot. B-class flares are expected, with a chance of minor C-class events in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 12542 on May 12 at 18:17 UT is: N11W34 (522",220") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
