Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at low levels. A newly emerged active region in the northwest quadrant, designated as NOAA 12552, has increased the background X-ray flux level and was the source of a B2.3 flare at 04:04 UT today. The region has a beta magnetic configuration and is emerging into the decaying plage of a former region. Chance for further isolated low level events as the region evolves.
The position of NOAA 12552 on 8-Jun-2016 at 11:45 UT is:
N16W29, ( 441", 257" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
