MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2665 located well beyond the southwestern limb produced a limb occulted C1.3 event at 07/19/00:01 UT. The current visible disk is spotless and 2665 is too far beyond the west limb to continue to be the target. The target will switch to an active filament located along the magnetic inversion line of the reversed polarity weak magnetic field of old NOAA 2664. Solar flare activity is expected to be very low in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the filament target on July 20 at 05:15 UT is: N27E53 (Solar X = -674", Solar Y = 386")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
