MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is extremely low. The background x-ray flux is currently flat at the A1.1 level. The visible solar disk is spotless. The target plage remnant NOAA 2703 continues to decay and was quiescent in the past 24 hours. The active phase of the region's main filament located along its magnetic inversion line has died away and is currently stable. There is a slight chance of a minor B-class event but only if the filament becomes active and eruptive in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2703 on April 08 at 06:00 UT is: S08W46 (Solar X = 685", Solar Y = -063")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
