Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. NOAA 12778 has decayed slightly in the last 24 hours, retaining its beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group classification. The new flux region has now been designated as NOAA 12779 and was classed as a beta/C-type sunspot group at the start of the UT day. However, NOAA 12779 now displays spots in its interior with mixed polarities that are now developing penumbrae. NOAA 12779 becomes the new target as it has produced multiple B-class and six C-class flares since the last message, the largest being a C4.3 on 29-Oct-2020 at 11:30 UT. More C-class activity is expected over the following 24 hours, with a chance for a low M-class event if 12779 develops a magnetic delta-spot configuration.
