Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at an extremely low level. A different very small flux region in the South West quadrant has developed a pore since the last message, but the solar disk is otherwise spotless. No flares have occurred since the last message, and no change in flaring activity is expected over the next 24-hour period. The Max Millennium Program continues to support the coordination of observations for the PSP 7th perihelion passage through the target region following the PSP magnetic-footpoint that is located in the North East quadrant.
The approximate position of this region on 14-Jan-2021 at 21:00 UT is:
N32E37 , ( -499", 569" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
