Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a very low level. The visible solar disk remains spotless. The target plage region NOAA 12800 was the source of two B-class flares (a B2.5 and a B3.8) in the past 24 hours. 12800 is in its decay phase. Only very low activities are likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12800 on January 30 at 04:30 UT is:
N18W51 (721", 360")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
