Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at very low levels. The target region in the southeast quadrant produced a single A-class flare since the last message and remains spotless. The region is currently enveloped by a large filament structure, which extends significantly above the solar limb. The filament could erupt and produce some moderate level activity in the coming days.
The approximate position of the target region on 9-Feb-2021 at 16:30 UT is:
S30E59, ( -722", -434" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
