Subject: MM#009 Default Target" --> Date: Sat, 22 May 2021 11:25:20 -0700 MM#009 Default Target Dear Collaborators, Target region NOAA 2824 was the source of numerous B- and C-class events and an isolated M1.1 event at 05/22/17:11 UT. Several small negative polarity spots emerged encircling the positive polarity main leading sunspot since the last message. 2824 now has a beta-gamma magnetic configuration. C-class events expected with another isolated M-class event likely. If the surrounding negative polarity satellite spots continue to develop, >M1-class events are possible. The position of NOAA 2824 on May 22 at 14:00 UT is: N20E22 (Solar X = -335", Solar Y = 351") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
