Dear Collaborators,
The target limb region has been numbered as NOAA 12838 and was the source of an X1.5 flare plus two low M-class flares (M1.0 and M1.5) in the past 24 hours. This region has rotated beyond the west limb with some overlying loops still visible. The Major Flare Watch will continue for a further 24 hours. There also emerged a new region (unnumbered yet) in the northeast quadrant which produced a C1.3 flare. B- and C-class activities are expected with a chance of additional M-class flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12838 on July 4 at 11:30 UT is:
N24W91 (861", 383")
