Dear Collaborators, Dear Collaborators, Target region NOAA 2918 was the source of two limb occulted C-class events since the last message. The largest was a C2.3 at 01/01/19:09. 2916 also produced a few limb occulted B-class events. A B5.5 event at 01/02/17:02 was associated with a bright flare spray. NOAA 2916 (S18W71, E-type/beta) continues to slowly decay and was again quiescent. Limb occulted B-class events possible with a slight chance of a C-class event in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 2918 on January 02 at 16:30 UT is: N22W91 (Solar X = 903", Solar Y =363") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
