Dear Collaborators, The target region in the southeast quadrant, NOAA 12924, has continued to develop over the past 24 hours and was the source of two C1.1 flares since the last message. The region is currently classified as a beta/D-type region, but shows strong mixed polarities within its trailing spot. Good chance of increased activity over the coming days with possibility of a low M-class flare. The position of NOAA 12924 on 7-Jan-2022 at 12:30 UT is: S31E13, ( -188", -449" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
