Dear Collaborators, Dear Collaborators, Target region NOAA 2978 continues to decay along with its companion region NOAA 2981 (S22W55). Both regions were the source of minor B-class events since the last message. A C-class event is still possible in the next 24 hour period. A large filament located in the southeastern quadrant (S35E10) became active/eruptive and disappeared by 4/7/06:00 UT. The position of NOAA 2978 on April 07 at 14:00 UT is: S19W57 (Solar X = 762", Solar Y = -258") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Bill Marquette (Helio Research) |
