Dear Collaborators,
Dear Collaborators, Target region NOAA 2978 (S19W83, C-type/beta) is mostly unchanged and was quiescent since the last message. Its companion region NOAA 2981 (S23W83, C-type/beta) was the source of a few C-class events. The largest was a C4.7 at 04/09/11:24 UT. The flare was located in the southern portion of 2978 and the northern portion of 2981 at S21W87. The target position today will include both regions. Another C-class event is possible in the next 24 hour period. The position of NOAA 2978/2981 on April 09 at 14:00 UT is: S22W84 (Solar X = 884", Solar Y = -347") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
