Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. The target regions NOAA 12993 and 12994 continued to decay further and were classified as beta/C-type and beta-gamma/E-type sunspot groups, respectively, at the start of the UT day. This pair of regions are now approaching the North West limb, with only NOAA 12994 producing any flaring activity since the last message (a C1.3 flare on 27-Apr-2022 at 03:59 UT). A couple of higher magnitude flares were observed from other regions (a C7.7 on 27-Apr-2022 at 14:15 UT from NOAA 12996 being the largest), but the target will remain with NOAA regions 12993/12994 due to their past flaring history. Further C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a small chance of a low M-class flare. The position of NOAA 12993/12994 on 27-Apr-2022 at 22:30 UT is: N17W66 , ( 833", 307" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
