Dear Collaborators, The largest event since the last message was a B6.1 flare produced by yesterday's target region NOAA 13025 at 05/31/14:53 UT. 13025 remains its beta/D-type configuration and is now at the west limb. Today we will switch the target to a newly emerged region (should be numbered as NOAA 13026 tomorrow) in the northwest quadrant . This new region has produced a B3.7 flare and is still emerging magnetic fluxes especially in its trailing portion. Additional B-class activities are expected with a chance of a C-class flare in the following 24 hours. The approximate position of the target on June 1 at 07:30 UT is: N17W27 (420", 250") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
