Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has been at a very low level. The largest X-ray event since the last message was a C1.5 at 07/07/01:16 UT emergent from a new limb region (S19E80). The target regions NOAA 13053 and 13052 were the sources of three high B-class flares. 13053 has been classified as a beta/D-type region with increasing in the sunspot area and number of spots. If possible, please also include the 13052 (N15E33, beta/C-type) in your field of view. C-class activities are expected in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13053 on July 7 at 11:30 UT is: N15E52 (-719", 209") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
