Dear Collaborators, The largest event since the last message was a C8.5 at 07/09/13:29 UT emergent from the plage region NOAA 13047. Target region NOAA 13053 only produced several low C-class flares during the period. Numerous low C-class flares were also produced by various regions, 13055 (beta/E-type), 13052, 13051, and a new east limb region (S17E72). 13053 remains its beta/E-type classification and shows mixed polarities. Further C-class activities are expected with a chance of an isolated low M-class flare in the next few days. The position of NOAA 13053 on July 10 at 19:30 UT is: N15E08 (-127", 183") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
