Dear Collaborators, Dear Collaborators, Target region NOAA 3058 (N14E47) is now decaying and only produced two minor C-class events since the last message. NOAA regions 3056 (S18W10) and 3053 (N17W70) also produced minor C-class events. The largest event in the past 24 hours was an isolated M1.4 at 07/16/15:39 UT. The source region was NOAA 3055 (S18W57). 3055 has been quiescent for several days and continues in the decay phase. The target will switch to NOAA 3057. 3057 has developed small leading polarity spots located in its northern portion of its trailing sunspots. C-class events expected with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 3057 on July 16 at 14:45 UT is: N16E10 (Solar X = -158", Solar Y = 191") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Bill Marquette (Helio Research) |
