Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a very low level. The target region has now been designated as NOAA 13077 and is classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. Only B-class activity has occurred since the last message and all were located at the South West limb where region NOAA 13068 recently departed. The target region will remain with NOAA 13077. More B-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for a low C-class flare. The position of NOAA 13077 on 10-Aug-2022 at 15:00 UT is: S17W17 , ( 269", -373" ) [NB: there was a typo in yesterday's target region coordinates, which should have read as S18 rather than S08] See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Shaun Bloomfield (Northumbria University) |
