Dear Collaborators,
The largest event since the last message was an M1.0 produced by NOAA 13078 at 08/15/14:27 UT. 13078 also produced eight C-class flares. Today the target will switch to 13078 that has a beta/C-type configuration though. It continues to emerge new fluxes. Yesterday's target NOAA 13079 produced three low C-class flares during the period and has decayed to a beta/C-type region. Further C-class activities are expected with a chance of another low M-class flare in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13078 on August 15 at 11:30 UT is: S25W01 (15", -498") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
