Dear Collaborators,
The solar activity has decreased since the last message. The largest event since the last message was a C6.7 flare at 08/19/20:19 UT produced by target region NOAA 13078. 13078 also produced another five low C-class flares during the period. This region retains its beta-gamma-delta/D-type configuration while it seems to decay further. It is showing magnetic flux cancellations and is rotating to the west limb. The Major Flare Watch campaign will continue for another 24 hours. Low M-class activities are still likely with a slight chance of a major flare in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13078 on August 20 at 03:30 UT is: S24W64 (779", -428") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
