20220827 Week Rotation Today Rotation Week 20220829

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate to high level since the last message. The largest event of the period was an M6.7 flare at 08/28/15:48 UT produced by NOAA 13088. 13088 also produced four low M-class flares with the largest one being an M1.8 at 08/27/15:45 UT. Today the Major Flare Watch region will switch to NOAA 13088, though it is rotating beyond the west limb. This region was designated as a beta-gamma/D-type configuration. Additional M-class flares are probable in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA13088 on August 28 at 15:30 UT is: S27W82 (837", -442") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
