Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has been at a very low level since the last message. Yesterday's target region NOAA 13089 was the source of seven low C-class flares during the period, the largest one being a C3.2 at 09/06/18:21 UT. 13089 has now completed its west limb passage. Today the target will switch to NOAA 13096 which is increasing in its sunspot area and number of spots. C-class activities are expected in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA13096 on September 7 at 15:30 UT is: N18E62 (-800", 238") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
