Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at intermediate levels since the last message. The largest event was a C5.2 flare at 15:52 UT on 10-Dec-2022 produced by the limb target, which was newly numbered as NOAA 13163 and was classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region still stays the most productive and has produced 9 C-class flares and a B-class flare. Today the target shall still be this region. Moreover, some other active regions (NOAA 13161, 13158, 13153) also produced a few low C-class flares over the period. Further C-class activities are expected from various active regions in the following 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13163 on 11-Dec-2022 12:30 UT S20E57 (-769", -330"): See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
