Dear Collaborators, The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. Target region NOAA 13163 has grown slightly since the last message, increasing in its Zurich classification to a beta/E-type sunspot group. This region continued to produce C-class activity after the last message, but the last was on 11-Dec-2022 at 16:45 UT. NOAA 13156 (a beta/D-type sunspot group) has also been the source of several C-class flares in the period, with these being more recent than the flares from NOAA 13163. The NOAA 13156 activity includes the largest flare of the period - a C3.5 on 12-Dec-2022 at 00:06 UT. The target changes to NOAA 13156 due to its recent heightened activity. More C-class flares are probable over the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13156 on 12-Dec-2022 at 15:00 UT is: N28W62 , ( 761", 462" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
