Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. Target region NOAA 13156 has been flare-quiet since the last message and decayed slightly to a beta/D-type sunspot classification. NOAA 13153 took over as the most flare-productive region, but this was restricted to a few low C-class flares. The target switches to NOAA 13153 as it rotates up to the South West limb. Low C-class flares are still possible in the following 24-hour period. The position of NOAA 13153 on 13-Dec-2022 at 20:00 UT is: S17W83 , ( 925", -284" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
