Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at low levels. The largest event since the last message was a C5.8 flare at 04:24 UT on 1-Feb-2023 produced by NOAA 13204. 13204 produced 4 C-class flares in the past 24 hours, although it was downgraded to a beta/C-type sunspot configuration. Yesterday's target (NOAA 13207) and other active regions on the visible solar disk have been quiescent, so today the target shall switch to NOAA 13204 before it completely rotates beyond the west limb. Further C-class activities are expected in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13204 on 2-Feb-2023 12:30 UT N24W91 (888", 391") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Qiao Li, Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
