Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has reached intermediate levels. The largest event since the last message was a C6.7 flare at 03:16 UT today produced by an unnumbered region near the southeast limb, where EUV and coronagraph images show dynamic activity. Today the target shall switch to this limb region. Yesterday's target region NOAA 13207 (S13E05, beta/C-type) produced only a few low C-class flares, with signs of decay. A newly emerged region NOAA 13211 (S16W34, beta/C-type) also produced a few low C-class flares as well as a C6.4 flare at 10:37 UT. Further high C-class activities are probable in the following 24 hours. The approximate position of the target region on 5-Feb-2023 08:30 UT S15E83 (-900", -200") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
