Dear Collaborators, Solar activity was at a high-M level in the past 24 hours. The target region NOAA 13213 produced an M6.4 flare at 23:05 UT on 7-Feb-2023 and also 3 low M-class (M1.5, M3.8, and M2.1) plus multiple C-class flares. 13213 has been classified as a beta-gamma/D-type today, with a higher complexity of configuration and an apparent increase of sunspot area. At this time we implement a Major Flare Watch campaign. In addition, an M1.0 event at 13:33 on 7-Feb-2023 was from a southeast limb region (S14E88). Further low M-class activities are expected with a chance of another >M5 flare over the coming days. The position of NOAA 13213 on 8-Feb-2023 08:30 UT N31W06 (87", 593") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
