Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has increased slightly since the last message. The southeast limb target (unnumbered yet) is rotating onto the visible solar disk and has produced six C-class flares, including two C6.4 flares that erupted at 06:12 UT and 06:45 UT today. The target will continue on this region. More C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance for a low M-class flare. The approximate position of the target on 17-Mar-2023 at 08:30 UT is: S19E83 (-905", -298") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, De-Chao Song, Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
