Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains high with M-level activity emanating from two separate regions in the northeast quadrant; NOAA 13293, which retains its beta-delta configuration and NOAA 13296, which has an anti-Hale beta configuration and produced an M3.9 flare at 08:05 UT today. Both regions are continuing to develop and are likely to remain flare productive. NOAA 13293 shall remain the target region with a Major Flare Watch in effect, but also include NOAA 13296 in your field of view if possible. The position of NOAA 13293 on 4-May-2023 at 11:30 UT is: N13E28, ( -436", 269" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
