Dear Collaborators, Solar activity continues at intermediate levels for the past 24 hours. The largest event since the last message was a C7.0 flare at 09:07 UT today from the target region NOAA 13296. 13296 was the source of 6 C-class flares, although it was downgraded to a beta/D-type configuration. The other active regions (NOAA 13305, 13297, 13293, 13300) produced a few low C-class flares in the period. Today the target shall continue at NOAA 13296 before it completely rotates beyond the west limb. Further high C-class activities are probable from various regions in the next 24-48 hours with a small chance for an M-class flare. The position of NOAA 13296 on 14-May-2023 at 11:30 UT N15W91 (916", 244") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
