Dear Collaborators, The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13311 has decayed further since the last message but remains classified as a beta-gamma/E-type spot group. NOAA 13315 is in a continued period of magnetic flux emergence and has become the most flare productive region on the visible disk, producing multiple C-class flares that includes the largest magnitude flare in the period - a C3.0 flare on 26-May-2023 at 16:56 UT. At this time we terminate the MM#003 Major Flare Watch, while the nominal target switches to NOAA 13315. C-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with low M-class activity also possible. The position of NOAA 13315 on 26-May-2023 at 18:00 UT is: S16E09 , ( -145", -241" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
