Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. Target region NOAA 13323 grew marginally in sunspot area since the last message, and remains classified as a beta-gamma/E-type spot group. A new spot region has recently rotated on disk over the South East limb and shows early signs of being at least a beta/C- or D-type sunspot group. This currently unnumbered region has produced 11 C-class flares in the period. NOAA 13323 has also continued flaring at C-class level with 4 events, including the largest magnitude flare in the period - a C8.8 flare on 4-Jun-2023 at 03:32 UT. The target will remain on NOAA 13323 due to its known and higher magnetic complexity. Additional C-class flares are expected in the next 24s, with a chance for an M-class flare. The position of NOAA 13323 on 4-Jun-2023 at 18:00 UT is: S07E22 , ( -353", -111" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
