Dear Collaborators, NOAA 13380 continues to dominate solar activity, producing several C-class flares and five M1 flares since the last message. The region retains its beta-delta configuration as it approaches the southwest limb and is showing dynamic behavior around its leader spot. We shall continue with the Major Flare Watch in effect with NOAA 13380 as the target region. Sustained intermediate level activity likely with chance for an >M5 flare over the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13380 on 2-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT is: S10W62, ( 823", -208" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
