Dear Collaborators, NOAA 13380 has continued to produce sustained C-level activity over the past 24 hours, as well as an M2.1 flare at 11:47 UT today. The region has been reclassified as a beta-gamma region as it nears the western limb and we are therefore ending the Major Flare Watch campaign at this time. NOAA 13380 shall continue as the default target region with further C-level activity likely. Also chance of an isolated low M-class flare before west limb passage. The position of NOAA 13380 on 3-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT is: S10W73, ( 891", -191" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Ryan Milligan (Queen's University Belfast) |
