Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly diminished since the last message. A small number of low C-class flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a C2.3 from NOAA 13405 at 21:42 UT yesterday. NOAA 13405 is currently classified as a beta type region as it further progresses onto the solar disk. NOAA 13405 will remain the target region for a further 24 hours with a slight chance of continued C-class activity. The position of NOAA 13405 on 16-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT is: N10E58, (-792",106") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
