Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has remained at a low level since the last message. A small number of low C-class flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a partially occulted C3.6 from NOAA 13394 at 02:20 UT today. No further activity has been produced from target region NOAA 13405 since the last message and it retains its beta configuration. However, the total sunspot area appears to have increased as it moves further onto the disk. NOAA 13405 will remain the target region for a further 24 hours with a slight chance of C-class activity. The position of NOAA 13405 on 17-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT is: N10E44 (-650",84") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
