Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has continued at a low level since the last message. A small number of C-class flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a C3.7 from NOAA 13409 at 06:43 UT today. No further activity has been produced from the target region since the last message and it appears to have further diminished in size. NOAA 13409 is currently classified as a beta type region and appears in close proximity to NOAA 13403. The target region will switch to NOAA 13409 for the next 24 hours with potential for further C-class activity in this region. The position of NOAA 13409 on 20-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT is: N22W63, (784",305") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
