Dear Collaborators, Solar activity continues at a very low level. The largest event was a C1.0 flare at 03:54 UT today from NOAA 13405, which is almost rotating beyond the west limb. Yesterday’s target (S05E89) was quiescent in the period. NOAA 13413 on the disk retains its beta/D-type magnetic configuration and has increased in sunspot area and counts. Today the target region shall switch to NOAA 13413. B-class activities are expected with low C-class flares probable in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13413 on 28-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT N10W20 (321", 55") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Regards, Qiao Li (Purple Mountain Observatory) |
