Dear Collaborators, The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13451 was stable in spot area since the last message, maintaining its beta-gamma/D-type classification. This region produced several C-class flares in the period, along with the largest magnitude flare - an M2.3 on 10-Oct-2023 at 12:08 UT. Another low M-class flare (an M1.6 on 10-Oct-2023 at 01:55 UT) was produced between NOAA 13451 and the nearby NOAA 13452 (a beta/E-type group). More C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a good chance for another M-class flare. The position of NOAA 13451 on 10-Oct-2023 at 18:00 UT is: N17W70 , ( 864", 245" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
