Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has been at moderate-to-low levels. Yesterday’s target region was now numbered as NOAA 13480 (S11E57, beta/D-type) and only produced a C3.5 flare at 22:28 UT on 3-Nov-2023, with signs of decay. NOAA 13472 became the most productive region and was the source of several low-C flares including their largest one in the period - a C2.1 at 08:07 UT today. 13472 was downgraded to a beta/C-type magnetic configuration but experienced the emergence of new magnetic fluxes. Today the target should switch to NOAA 13472. Further C-class flares are expected in the following 24-hour period. The position of NOAA 13472 on 4-Nov-2023 at 12:30 UT is: N21W74 (868",328") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
