Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has diminished since the last message. A number of low C-class events were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a C1.9 from target region NOAA 13480 at 05:38 UT today. The target region appears to have developed additional complexity since the last message and is now classified as a beta-gamma type sunspot group. However, the sunspot area appears reduced. Subsequently, NOAA 13480 will continue to be the target region for a further 24 hours with a chance for isolated C-class flares. The position of NOAA 13480 on 07-Nov-2023 at 12:30 UT is: S08E20, (-329", -194") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
