Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has continued at an intermediate level since the last message. A new active region in the northeast quadrant has been numbered as NOAA 13490. However, two partially occulted M1 flares have been produced over the last 24 hours that appear to be attributed to a region currently beyond the northeast limb. The target region will continue to be the northeast limb for a further 24 hours. Further C-class activity is likely, with a chance for additional isolated M-class flares. The approximate position of the target region on 19-Nov-2023 at 12:30 UT is: N16E78, (-913", 259") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
